Delphine est arrivée à Dublin le vendredi en fin de journée et est repartie le dimanche dans la matinée, alors oui c’est court, mais on a profité au maximum et nous allons partager ça avec vous.
Vendredi
Arrivée 17h : Nous sommes allées dans notre restaurant préféré appelé Wright Findlaters à Howth, toujours bien accueillies, nourriture de qualité.
En entrée, nous sommes parties pour partager le meilleur pain à l’ail, nous vous conseillons d’y aller pour gouter. J’ai pris un saumon aux légumes et Delphine des pâtes végétariennes. En dessert une meringue aux framboises et passion.
Une superbe soirée où nous nous sommes retrouvées, et nous avons pu discuter de tout.
Samedi
Rien de mieux pour commencer la journée qu’un bon petit déjeuner irlandais. Œufs, toasts grillés, jus d’orange, boudin, saucisses…. De quoi tenir pour une grosse journée de marche dans le centre-ville de Dublin, longue journée pour mon copain qui nous a accompagnées pour faire du shopping……..le pauvre…..
Nous avons eu de la chance après une forte pluie, le temps s’est amélioré et nous avons pu profiter de la journée sans trop être mouillées….
Première boutique Primark appelée Penneys ici, nous manquons de cette boutique dans le sud-ouest, on y trouve tout et ce n’est pas cher, au programme trouver des affaires pour des vacances au soleil. Alors oui même s’il fait froid en Irlande il faut savoir que fin janvier dans les vitrines c’est maillots de bain, shorts et tongs à foison. Ils sont fous ces irlandais ! J
Ensuite nous avons marché dans le centre-ville, visité le quartier de Temple Bar et ses pubs avec de jolis murs colorés.
Nous sommes ensuite allées dans la célèbre boutique Urban Outfitters, des vêtements pour tous les gouts, unique et remplie d’objets de décoration, beaucoup de créativité. Le design du magasin est très intéressant, très spacieux avec plus de 3 étages.
Nous sommes aussi allées au célèbre centre commercial appelé “Powerscourt shopping centre” plutôt tourné vers le luxe, avec une architecture plutôt moderne. Nous pouvons tout y trouver : Mode, restaurants, bars, décoration d’intérieur, bijoux, produits de beauté, antiquités, arts, design irlandais, histoire et culture, fleuriste.
Après avoir parcouru plusieurs kilomètres autour de la ville nous avons décidés de rentrer et de commander thaïlandais, chez Camile !!
Et c’est partie pour faire la fête au living room ! Bonne ambiance, nous avons retrouvé nos amies “les français à Dublin”. Super soirée pour finir la journée.
Dimanche
Malheureusement le week-end a toujours une fin, Delphine a rendez-vous à l’aéroport à 10:30.. Ça passe vite. Ces moments où il faut se dire au revoir sont toujours difficiles… mais on espère se revoir vite !!

Only a week-end
Delphine arrived in Dublin on Friday at the end of the day and left on Sunday in the morning, so yes it was short, but we took full advantage and we will share it with you.
Friday
Check in 17h: We went to our favorite restaurant called Wright Findlaters in Howth. Always welcomingand quality food.
As a starter, we shared the best garlic bread !! We advise you to go there to taste. I had salmon with vegetables and Delphine vegetarian pasta. For dessert a meringue with raspberries and passionfruit.
A wonderful evening was had and we were able to discuss everything.
Saturday
Nothing better to start the day than with a good Irish breakfast. Eggs, toasts, orange juice, pudding, sausages, rashers …. Everything to prepare us for a big day of walking in the city center of Dublin and a long day for my boyfriend who accompanied us to go shopping … …..the poor guy….
We were lucky that after some heavy rain, the weather improved and we were able to enjoy the day without getting too wet.
The first shop was Primark which is called Penneys here. We don’t havethis shop in the southwest of France There is everything to buy in here and it is not expensive. On the agenda was to find clothes for a holiday in a sunny place. So yes, even if it’s cold in Ireland, at the end of January, in the shop windows, there are swimsuits, shorts and flip flops everywhere.. They are crazy these irish! 😉
Then we walked into the city center, visited the Temple Bar area and its pubs with pretty colourful walls.
We then went to the famous Urban Outfitters boutique. There are clothes for all tastes, unique and filled with decorative objects and a lot of creativity. The store design is very interesting. It is very spacious with more than 3 floors.
We also went to the famous shopping center called « Powerscourt shopping center » which is very luxurious, with rather modern architecture. You can find everything there: fashion, restaurants, bars, interior design, jewelery, cosmetics, antiques, arts, Irish design, history, flowers and culture.
After having traveled several kilometers around the city, we decided to go back to the apartment and order Thai, at Camile !! Amazing !
At night we went to party in the living room! Good atmosphere and we found our friends « the French in Dublin ». It was a great evening to finish the day.
Sunday
Unfortunately the weekend always has an end. Delphine must be at the airport at 10:30 .. It goes too quickly. These moments, when we have to say goodbye, are always very difficult … but we hope to see each other again soon !!
